Our Beliefs
Statement of Faith
Legacy Church holds to a conservative theological position, affirming the historical and orthodox doctrines of the Christian faith as revealed in Scripture. We believe in the absolute authority and sufficiency of the Bible, uphold a biblical sexual ethic, and maintain traditional views on marriage, gender, and the sanctity of life. We reject any cultural trend that seeks to redefine core Christian beliefs. Our commitment is to stand firm on God's truth while walking in love and grace. Our desire is to stand firm in truth while we walk in humility, grace, and love because Jesus is full of both.
We joyfully affirm the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Chalcedonian Definition as faithful summaries of the essential truths of Scripture. As a Protestant church, we stand in continuity with the Reformation and therefore embrace the Five Solas. We also align with the doctrinal commitments expressed in the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy. These historic confessions help anchor our faith to the unchanging truths of God's Word and unite us with the global Church throughout history.
The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Every word is God-breathed, trustworthy, and sufficient. Scripture is the final rule for faith, life, and doctrine. The Old and New Testaments together reveal one unified story of God's grace: His plan to redeem a people for Himself through the grace found the promised Savior. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible points us to Jesus and His Kingdom, showing God's consistent character and His unfolding covenant faithfulness throughout history. The Bible does not shift with culture or human opinion, because it is the timeless truth of the eternal God. By the Spirit, Scripture convicts us, shapes us, and leads us into joyful obedience.
The Nature of God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). He is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. He is perfectly holy, loving, just, and sovereign over all. From eternity past to eternity future He remains unchanging in His character, plans, and promises. God alone is worthy of all glory, worship, and allegiance.
We joyfully affirm the Nicene Creed as a faithful expression of the historic and biblical confession of the Triune God.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the uncreated and eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life and willingly laid it down as the perfect sacrifice for our sins. He bodily rose from the dead on the third day, forever defeating sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). He ascended into heaven, where He intercedes for the saints and sits at the right hand of God (Psalm 110). Jesus will return to establish His Kingdom in righteousness and glory. He is the radiance of God's glory, the exact imprint of His nature, the Word made flesh, and He continues to uphold all things by the word of His power (Hebrews 1:3).
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person, coequal with the Father and the Son. Like the Father and the Son, He is uncreated and eternal. He indwells every believer, sealing them for the day of redemption and producing in them the work of sanctification (Ephesians 1:13-14, 2 Corinthians 3:18). He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and empowers believers with spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church (1 Corinthians 12:4-11). He leads us into all truth, calling us to live in obedience and holiness (John 16:13, Galatians 5:16-25). We believe the gifts of the Spirit continue today, practiced with biblical wisdom and unity.
Humanity
We believe God created humanity in His image, male and female, with inherent dignity, value, and purpose (Genesis 1:26-27). We were made to know, love, and enjoy God, and to reflect His goodness in the world. Every person has been uniquely designed, intentionally formed, and deeply loved by their Creator. Mankind was made for fellowship with God and one another and created to reflect His glory. Though humanity has been marred by sin, every person retains the image of God and deserves to be treated as such.
Sin
All people are born with a sinful nature and choose to sin, alienating themselves from God (Psalm 51:5, Romans 3:23). Sin manifests in brokenness, pain, rebellion, and unbelief. Sin destroys, corrupts, and perverts His creation and the people He so loves. Therefore, God rightly and justly punishes all sin (Romans 6:23). Yet, through Christ, our punishment is taken, our judgemet is rendered, and our redemption and restoration are secured (Romans 5:8-9, 1 John 1:9).
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). Every person is born in sin and separated from God, but through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, we are justified, given a new heart, reconciled, and adopted as children of God (Romans 3:23-24, John 1:12-13).
The Church
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, a city on a hill that cannot be hidden, shining as a witness to the world (Matthew 5:14-16). There is only one Church, made up of all who belong to Jesus, regardless of location or time in history (Ephesians 4:4-6). The Church exists for worship, discipleship, community, and mission - to declare and display the gospel to the world (Acts 2:42-47). The Church answers to Jesus as its ultimate authority, for He is the head of the Body (Colossians 1:18). It submits to the Bible for instruction on how to govern and operate, as the Scriptures provide everything needed for sound doctrine, leadership, worship, and mission (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Acts 2:42-47).
Christian Life
We believe Christians are called to live holy, Spirit-led lives, bearing spiritual fruit and walking in obedience to Christ (John 15:1-8, Galatians 5:22-25). The life of a disciple includes suffering, perseverance, and continual transformation into the image of Christ (Romans 5:3-5, 2 Corinthians 3:18). For the Christian, we strive to live, act, think and love like Jesus and when we fall short of this glorious standard, we confess, repent and continue to fight the good fight of faith
Baptism
We believe baptism is a gift of God and a sacred act of obedience for all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38). Baptism is a sign of our union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4), marking our entrance into the life of discipleship and our belonging to the people of God. We are baptized into Christ and into His Body, the Church, visibly identifying with Jesus and His family (1 Corinthians 12:13). Baptism is more than a mere symbol. In baptism, God meets us with His grace, reminding and assuring us that we belong to Him. Yet baptism itself does not save or cleanse us from sin; salvation is by grace through faith alone. We practice baptism by immersion as the clearest picture of dying to sin and rising to walk in newness of life.
The Lord’s Supper
We believe the Lord's Supper is an act of worship instituted by Jesus to remind His people of the Gospel and strengthen their faith (Luke 22:19-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26). In Communion, we proclaim the death of Christ, celebrate our fellowship with Him and one another, and look forward to the marriage supper of the Lamb. Christ is truly present with His people, not physically in the elements, and not merely symbolically, but spiritually and powerfully by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 10:16). The Lord's Supper is a gift of grace that spiritually nourishes believers, calling us to reflect on our hearts, repent of sin, and walk in humility, unity, and love within the Body of Christ.
Eschatology
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to fulfill the promises of Scripture and establish the fullness of His Kingdom (Matthew 24:30-31). History is not spiraling aimlessly rather, it is moving toward a single, glorious conclusion under the lordship of Christ. We hold to Historic Premillennialism, and therefore believe the Church will endure a time of great tribulation prior to Christ's return (Matthew 24:21-31, John 16:33). Like with all forms of trials, in that day God's people are called to persevere in faith, and overcome the evil one by the blood of the Lamb, the word of our testimony and not loving our lives even unto death. (Rev 12:11) Our call is to hold fast to the hope that Jesus will one day raise the dead, defeat all evil, and restore His creation.
While we hold to this view and believe it to be the most faithful to the earliest teachings of the church, we recognize that there is much debate on this topic and we leave room for that. Regardless of postion, our hope is united with all believers: Jesus wins, His Kingdom comes, and God will dwell with His people forever.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why the name “Legacy”?
We chose the name Legacy because we believe every life tells a story, and we want ours to tell a story of faithfulness to Jesus. Our desire is to make disciples who endure and thrive in every season of life, leaving behind a legacy that impacts generations to come.
What are your services like?
Our Sunday gatherings are simple, meaningful, and centered on Jesus. We worship together through song, work through the Scriptures verse by verse, and take communion every week. You can expect a welcoming environment, genuine people, and a clear invitation to grow in your faith. Come as you are; there's no dress code, and no pressure. Whether you're unsaved, brand new to faith, or have walked with Jesus for years, we'd love to have you with us. Student Ministry is available every Sunday, offering a safe and discipleship-driven environment for children of all ages. Legacy services typically last about 90 minutes.
Do you meet at another church?
Yes! Legacy Church meets at New Life Praise Center. We're incredibly grateful for their generosity and partnership in the Gospel. Though we share the space, Legacy is a separate church family with our own leadership, vision, and worship services.
What denomination are you?
Legacy Church is a non-denominational Christian church. We are a Bible-believing community committed to the historic Christian faith and the centrality of Jesus in all we do.
What’s this about a date night?
Yep, you heard right-date night! Every Thursday from 7:00-8:30 PM, we host student ministry for infants through 12th grade. While your kids are having a blast learning about Jesus in a safe, fun environment, we encourage parents to take a break, stay local, and enjoy a night out. No adult teaching, no pressure- just an open door for your kids and a little margin for you. Go grab dinner… we've got this.
What's your story?
Legacy Church is a miracle in motion. When we said "yes" to God in January of 2025, we had no building, no team, and no clear plan for how everything would come together. What we did have was a deep conviction that Jesus was calling us to plant a church focused on strong Bible teaching, discipleship, healthy families, and real community. Pastor Casey and Pastor Chris have been pastoring side-by-side for more than twelve years, and together they stepped out in faith leaving their positions at their former church, trusting God to build what they could not.
By March, the process had officially begun… and just three months later, we launched with over 300 people in attendance and a host campus God provided by grace alone. We often call it "the world's fastest church launch", and it's a testimony to God's faithfulness and the hunger of His people for a church built on the Word of God rather than the shifting trends of our culture.
Legacy isn't just our name, it's our conviction. We believe Jesus is forming a community whose faith will outlive them… families strengthened, disciples made, and the truth of the gospel passed from generation to generation. God is writing an incredible story here and we are convinced these are only the opening chapters.
